A perfect day

I went down to the beach here in Vogar this evening with Guðjón. We enjoyed a few good rolls down the hill near our home first. Then we walked over to the beach to throw rocks in the serene harbor water.
This was the perfect end to a perfect day. This morning I woke up early and finished a paper that I've been working on for a few days. Then, I went with Dagbjört for a little walk. We walked to Njarðvík. Yup, that's right...8 km! it was really fun. We walked along the top of the cliss for a while and watched the fulmars (fýlar) flying along gracfully at great speed. We sat on thick moss and ate a snack of cookies and an orange on top of the cliff and then continued on our way. All told, it took about 2 and a half hours to get from home to the other end of the 8 km hike. Then, we went into Keflavík and bought a fish and a pair of earrings for her friend as a birthday present and a top and earrings for Dagbjört. Then we took the bus home.
The weather has been phenomenal all day long. Clear skies (mostly) and warm enoug hfor me to be out all day in just a flannel shirt and a t-shirt. Today went just like a Hollywood family movie. I'm tired but completely happy.
Anyone want to come for a visit? We've got two extra rooms. Hint hint.
