My Little Sister
My sister Melody and her boyfriend Sati have been on some great adventures over the last few years. But seeing the video journal they are depositing weekly on their site makes me think that I would really love to be with them. You can click here to see the journals. They're out in the southwest of the US going down into the smallest canyons they can find. If you're reading this, Mel and Sati (on one of your stops in a town), have a great trip!

You’ve mentioned the name Sati several times on this blog. I kept assuming that it was one of your sister’s female friends. I got to ask what kind of name is Sati?
Sati is an Indian name. His mother is from India. I think his father is pure white American, but I've never met him and I have a memory like a wet paper bag full of holes-that is, it doesn't hold much. I think that the name Sati can be used for either a boy or a girl, but I'm not sure of that either.
Sati's name is really Satyendra and it means "truth" in Hindi. His father is from India and both of his parents speak fluent Hindi. I think the name Sati is usually a girl's name, but it suits him anyway even though he's a big guy.
